We are all set, everthing worked out just right:
  • Our new and YouAtNotes branded clothes arrived just yesterday.
  • Our marketing papers arrived Wednesday and look brilliant.
  • We have a new bunch of business cards for each of us.
  • Plane, hired car, hotel - all set.
  • Macbooks are prepared perfectly for our demos of YouAtNotes Workflow and ServiceCommunicator.
  • And many more small items are organized.

Thanks to all people envolved in that preparations!

So, we're ready to go and will board the plane tomorrow (Saturday). Since we exchange planes in New Ark we hope there is no snow storm or something like that over New York :-)

What do I expect to see at Lotusphere from Lotus?

I hope that Lotus continues the direction they already have:
  • Continue envolve the UIs of all Lotus products.
  • Continue envolve the Notes client and make the new technologies (XPages, HTML, CSS, Javascript, Composite Apps) more "natural" part of the client.
  • Do not think about spending less priority on the Notes client in favor of web clients.
  • Do not take "Workplace" in the mouth.
  • Do not do something trying us to force to use Websphere or DB2 or something else complicated. We are Domino. We are not Websphere.
  • Present kicking-ass new features for Mail and Collaboration, build into Notes.
  • Give a vision where Lotus Notes will be in two, three or five years.

Personally, I believe that 2010 will be a good, a very good Lotus year.

I hope to meet many members of our beloved Yellow bubble! And if you're interested in Workflow and web-based support solutions, please make sure to visit us at booth #706.
If you're interested in meeting me, ask at booth #706 where I am, or send a mail to jbuss at youatnotes.com and describe where you are :-)
